- Now you can archive the internet – Seagate has just unveiled a new portable 3 TB storage device called FreeAgent GoFlex Desk . It has USB 2.0 adapter that can be upgraded to USB 3.0 or Firewire 800.
- Let them have bandwidth – Finland has become the first country in the world to make broadband a legal right for every citizen. From 1 July every Finn will have the right to access to a 1Mbps (megabit per second) broadband connection. Finland has vowed to connect everyone to a 100Mbps connection by 2015.
- Air Google – Google Inc plans to buy the major providers of airline travel software. Google will pay $700 million to buy privately-owned ITA Software.  Google said this acquisition will allow it to improve the way consumers find flight and fare information online. “What we’re going to do is build new flight search tools that focus on end-users, plague ” Google Chief Executive Officer Eric Schmidt said in a conference call with analysts and members of the press on Thursday”
You put the batteries in wrong again – Apparently Microsoft believes we are either so stupid that we can not read directions or to lazy to correct our mistakes. Hence the fine folks at Microsoft have come up with what they call “InstaLoadâ„¢ Battery Installation Technology” The two batteries can be inserted in any of the four possible orientations as shown above and the device works.- An Internet 100 times as faster – The boys at MIT have come up with a new network design that avoids the need to convert optical signals into electrical ones could boost capacity while reducing power consumption. They have been focusing on optical routers, current technology converts light to electrical signals. Directs them where they need to go and then will convert the electrical signals back to optical for transport. One more bottle neck down!
